Mrs Clancy visited Mark at an exhibition, she was particularly impressed with his tables and wanted a table creating based on her own horse who had sadly passed away. She had been very attached to her horse and was taken with the idea of having him replicated in the form of a table that she could enjoy for years to come. She decided that she was happy to use the original horse cast of Mark's table and would simply have the colourings and tones created bespoke to reflect her own horse.
She sent Mark some photographs of her horse depicting his unique markings. The foundry managed to replicate these perfectly. The horse had a unique white diamond marking on its nose and this was achieved on the sculpture using a paint that is compatible with the bronzing process (in original times this would have been created using arsenic something that is obviously not possible anymore), it blended perfectly and Mrs Clancy was delighted with the end result.
